Description

As per Sky at Night magazine, "The Veil Nebula is a supernova remnant located 2,100 lightyears away in the Cygnus constellation that spans 110 lightyears across. A supernova remnant is the remains of a star that has ended its life in an explosion known as a supernova. In the case of the Veil Nebula, the star in question was 20 times the mass of the Sun and exploded about 8,000 years ago. The Western Veil Nebula, NGC 6960, is also known as the Witch’s Broom, due to its long, thin, raggedy appearance. The bright star that can be seen in images of the Western veil is 52 Cygni, and is actually nothing to do with the nebula itself. It is merely a foreground star that just appears to be part of the nebula from our perspective."This, "The Witch riding a Ninja", was by far the largest AP project I have undertaken to date. The response from the Eastern Veil nebula posts has been overwhelming, and now I'm thrilled to share the results from post processing in Pixinsight with touch-ups in Paintshop pro. After an amazing learning experience of setting up a 6 panels mosaic plan in ASI Air app with the help of[url=oajrlxb2%20g5ia77u1%20qu0x051f%20esr5mh6w%20e9989ue4%20r7d6kgcz%20rq0escxv%20nhd2j8a9%20nc684nl6%20p7hjln8o%20kvgmc6g5%20cxmmr5t8%20oygrvhab%20hcukyx3x%20jb3vyjys%20rz4wbd8a%20qt6c0cv9%20a8nywdso%20i1ao9s8h%20esuyzwwr%20f1sip0of%20lzcic4wl%20gpro0wi8%20py34i1dx=https:/l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.telescopius.com%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR2IkWNwMHcNlMb7iWiZlhom8ygf_HnP6ZoNAGL4XR18WCTKNsDm7rzIUcU&h=AT2_5VeeEgjKIoQhwJAuBU8wbcdOqTHT9Y_DMIMW16VMv0CkI8jcxEizWDK_t43RnVE8xlRmlRuMHGaO9DdGJ-OhAzAQGiCyaJpesTuShfpstHa76to38iYdzDFcjktGsdIhHyZHMPotrMP-oQ&__tn__=-UK-R&c%5b0]www.telescopius.comI decided to first stack and process East Veil as an individual target, 3D it, and then stack and mosaic the 6 panels, as one to make this great heavenly painting of colors and awe!!! I call this stack "the witch riding a ninja".. you be the judge!Equipment used: SW ED100 esprit Triplet Apo on HEQ5 Pro mount with ZWO 294MC Pro main cam and ZWO 120mini guidecam, ASI Air Plus, L enhance filter, ZWO EAF, Bathinov mask, dew heater straps and powered by two Jackery packs.15 x 180sec light subs per panel30 darks and 30 flats per panelStacked, mosaiced and processed in Astro Pixel Processor (APP), and post processing done in Pixinsight with final touches using Paintshop pro for clarity and vibrancy
